Formal book Launch - Babraham School - 21 October 2009

Kitty's Bicycle was formally launched with a private reading at Babraham School, Cambridgeshire, on Wednesday 21st October 2009. Author Andy Lunness, together with Kitty and the bicycle, returned to the school playground where the story began three years earlier. "We are delighted to return to Babraham School to launch our book" said Andy, "I cannot think of a better way to say thank-you to the staff and pupils who unknowingly loaned us their playground back in Easter 2006." Headteacher Suzanne Berry was presented with a copy signed by Andy, illustrator Mark Trewren and star character Kitty, and pupils were invited to write their thoughts on the story in a comments book.

Omelette

Serves 1-2
3 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
15g/half an oz butter
2oz Grated cheese

1. Beat the eggs and seasoning with a fork until lightly mixed, then add the cheese.
2. Slowly heat a heavy frying pan.
3. Add the butter and, as soon as it has melted, pour in the eggs.
4. Using the fork keep drawing some of the mixture to the middle from the sides of the pan so the uncooked egg may set.
5. Cook for 1½ to 2 minutes or until the omelette is soft but not runny. Remove the pan from the heat and fold the omelette in half.
