Andy Lunness currently lives near Bristol, UK, with a his growing family and Rocky the chicken. He graduated from the University of Essex, Colchester, with two degrees in computer science and artificial intelligence. A man who wears multiple hats, his many roles include father, project manager, pension scheme director, steam locomotive fireman, editor and children's author.

Andy began writing when the Personal Finance Education Group appealed for resources to help teach financial capability in schools. The real-life experiences of his own children are reflected in his writing.

Jeni Oborn, who survived Hodgkins Lymphoma herself aged 15 in 1997, grew up in Draycott, Somerset, and after various forays into China (teaching English) and South America (volunteering for, and subsequently co-founding, a conservation organisation), she now happily works in Waterstones in Wells and lives in a peaceful leafy village on the Mendip hills.
The Image of Survival, is her debut novel, and is based more-or-less closely on her own experiences.

Author/Illustrator Mark TrewrenAuthor / Illustrator : Mark Trewren

Mark Trewren lives in Bristol, UK with his partner Helen, step-daughter Isabel, Rolf the border collie and two cats Fennel and Murphy.
A keen artist and writer from a very young age, Mark has produced several illustrated books of poetry and undertaken commissioned work for various companies and individuals. In addition to his creative work Mark is also involved in adult education, managing a support team working with people with mental health issues in the community.
Mark and Andy Lunness have known each other for some time, both sharing an appreciation for art, music and scotch, so when Andy wrote his first children's book, Kitty's Bicycle, Mark was a natural choice to complete the illustrations. Mark has continued to illustrate Andy's subsequent books. At the same time Mark was working on his own Weatherman Stan stories which are also now available from MALT Publishing. These are the first books in what will be an ongoing run of excellent educational resources.

Tariq Kurd (author) and Laura Robertson (illustrator)

Husband and wife team Tariq Kurd and Laura Robertson have three small children and read an awful lot of children's books. Their Gordon the Goblin stories have entertaining storylines told through a high quality rhyming narrative, brought to life by Laura's detailed illustrations.
